  • the fee covers all materials (clay and glazes) as well as two firings
  • includes a demonstration of technique used for centuries to form clay items
  • instruction in making that process work for you...modifications of basic technique "tweaked" to fit your body type, strength, height, etc.
  • completed pieces will be processed by the instructor and glazed with a glaze of your choice
  • optionally, you may choose to schedule a time to glaze your own piece after it has been bisque fired for which a nominal fee for the additional time will be assessed.

Introduction to Wheel Throwing - A two-hour class on use of the potter's wheel: - $95.00
    • this class is for those who wish a little more time on the wheel but either have never had experience on it or want/need a follow up or refresher class that allows a little more time to work on your creations
    • the fee covers all materials (clay and glazes) as well as two firings
    • includes a demonstration of technique used for centuries to form clay items
    • instruction in making that process work for you...modifications of basic technique "tweaked" to fit your body type, strength, height, etc.
    • multiple pieces or more challenging pieces than are possible in the one hour session will be explored
    • completed pieces will be processed by the instructor and glazed with a glaze of your choice
    • optionally, you may choose to schedule a time to glaze your own piece after it has been bisque fired for which a nominal fee for the additional time will be assessed.

Couples' Class or Date Night - A two-hour experience on the wheel for 2 - $125.00
    • for those who want a romantic evening making your own memories Ghost style :)  who knows, you could be the next Demi Moore (who actually made all the pottery seen in that scene)
    • this is a private lesson with only one couple at a time included unless you have other couple friends with whom you'd like to share the experience
    • demonstration and instruction in use of the wheel will be part of the evening
    • hand building is an option for you if you prefer
    • the fee covers all materials (clay and glazes) as well as two firings
    • a CD or digital images emailed will be made available to you
    • beverages (adult and otherwise) will be available or BYOB (must be 21 or older)
    • completed work will be processed by the instructor and glazed with a glaze of your choice
    • optionally, you may choose to schedule a time to glaze your own piece after it has been bisque fired for which a nominal fee for the additional time will be assessed.
    • this makes a great option for that 9th wedding anniversary (pottery being the focus) so instead of buying a piece to commemorate the occasion, you create your own.

Classes are offered from 6 pm - 9 pm Tuesday through Fridays and 10 am - 5 pm Saturday and Sundays. Classes are by appointment and can be scheduled by calling 817-535-2651.
